Just when you think you have exhausted all listening resources and ideas, why not use one resource you already use in class? You can get extra listening practice with your textbook!
- Use all listening supplements that come with your textbook such as CDs and videos on a regular basis.
- Do all oral activities from book.
- Modify written exercises into listening activities for students to complete.
- Do listening together in class with textbook activities instead of just doing the activities in written form. Play clip or read it several times and allow students to discuss it with each other. Put answers on the board as a group, then let students listen one last time, then correct the board themselves.
