Native Speakers
DISCUSS THIS ARTICLE

I like to expose my students to different voices, accents and speeds.  By doing this students will be accustomed to listening to different voices in different contexts rather than getting comfortable with just your voice or the voice in a certain audio resource.  As a result, I encourage my students to interact with native Spanish-speaking students in Spanish as much as possible.  I also invite guest speakers and play recordings of different native Spanish-speakers.  I want students to be able to listen with confidence and understand other Spanish-speakers besides me since they are already comfortable with my voice.
