The following are general teaching links that I find myself using all the time. I don't like link farms so I am including a few "gems" that hopefully you will find useful. If you know of any websites you think I should include here, feel free to contact me!
La Real Academia Española - This is the official website of the Real Academia Española and is a great reference for the Spanish language.
Word Reference - This is my favorite language reference resource. It contains a dictionary with lots of examples and a forum where you can ask questions pertaining to language.
ACTFL - This is the official website of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
Sailing with the 5 C's Learning Strategies - This is a great resource guide for secondary foreign language teachers! There is also a printer-friendly version which is a .pdf.
Standards for Foreign Language Learning - This .pdf article describes the National Standards.

Teaching Foreign Languages K-12: A Library of Classroom Practices - This is a video library of effective foreign language instruction. The time it takes to view these videos is well worth it!
Language Study and the Brain - If you are interested in brain-compatible learning activities you will find a wealth of information here. I especially like the brain-based learning presentation, the multiple intelligence activity ideas, and the research sections. There is also a concise overview of various teaching methods.
Yahoo Kids Around the World - This site has a lot of information about countries, holidays, culture, languages, flags, folklore, etc. You can use this for your own research or as a resource for your students.
Yahoo Education Flags from Around the World - You will find flags for every country. After you click on a flag, you can click on the name of the country and access information about that country.
Clip-art for Foreign Language teachers - This site contains free clip art for foreign language instruction. I have used clip art from this site many times. There is a large collection but no large that it is overwhelming.
UVic's Language Teaching Clip art Gallery - This website has over 3,000 images that you can use for basic language vocabulary. The clip art is free.
Microsoft Clip art - This is by far my favorite source for clip art. It includes clip art, photos and sounds and it is all free!.
Discovery Education's Online Puzzle Maker - You can make puzzles for free online. (Move to puzzles in listening)
Stephen D. Krashen - Krashen's website includes information on language acquisition, literacy, and bilingual education.
TPR World - TPR World has some very informative articles on foreign language learning, TPR, TPR Storytelling, Brain-based research, self-improvement for language teachers, and research topics for graduate students.
